So what about HR 2454 ?

What is HR 2454?  Did anyone hear this bill mentioned this past week?  Did anyone know about it before Friday the 26th of June?  Did you hear about it before your representatives voted for it or against it?  Have you ever heard about Cap and Trade, tax on CO2 emissions, tax on Cow Flatulence and other related and not related stuff?  This bill has various names and was passed without much problem in the House on Friday the 26th of June.  This is the bill that Mr. Waxman said he didn't need to read, the same bill he co-sponsored.  How can a guy sponsor a bill without reading it?

This is bad stuff.  If this bill passes the Senate without being challenged by the people and the Judicial Branch, we will see industry fail in this country, the costs of normal food products sky rocket, and the cost of energy hit astronomical levels, and the cost of transportation will be so high the poor will be walking or riding bikes...if they're lucky.

The next bill over the horizon is going to be health care reform.  What is the bill number on that one?  To tell the truth, at the time of this writing, I do not know.  There are many bills associated with health care.  Figuring out which one is the right one will be a challenge.

The next one after that will be something to do with gun control.  You watch for it!  It is coming.  The Federal Government is out of control and the only way it can be stopped is if the People are informed and put a stop to it all.

One of the best ways we can all be watch dogs is to closely monitor the bills that are going through the House and Senate personally.  When we write and call our representatives we should be able to cite specific bill numbers in reference so the recipients of our letters and phone calls will know that we are somewhat on the ball.  Bills can be monitored directly through http://thomas.loc.gov/

All bills and proceedings of the Legislature Branch are public record and Thomas is the best way to keep track of them.

Oh, and by the way, the true and official title for H.R. 2454 is the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009.  Surprise!  You thought it was the Cap and Trade thingy didn't ya?

The EC of the EU vs MS and Intel

http://government.zdnet.com/?p=4837

So, now the EC of the EU is going after MS for their IE that is packaged withing their OS called XP or W7.  Pretty crazy stuff.  The EC is just having a hay day targeting big corporations within the U.S.  It's nuts.  But, there is this thing called Article 82 of the EC trade treaty among the nations of the EU.  It pretty much says that businesses can't do certain things that are unfair towards their compettitors.  These things are kind of vague.  But, nevertheless, Microsoft must have signed such a treaty or else they would not be able to operate withing the EU.  Intel is also in the news for bad and unfair trade practices within the EU.

My question is this:  If a foreign government requires a U.S. corporation to sign some crazy trade treaty in order to do business in the country, why sign it?  This thing is really big.  Now the EU has a legal invitation to file suit against these business who would be otherwise protected by U.S. law.  Now the EU is going to be in the news weekly as they will be observed applying fines to U.S. companies for stepping on the toes of other businesses that have been educated in Socialist style business practices.

It's all about a level playing field, they say.  Well, here in the U.S.A., business owners have enjoyed the challenge of the playing field filled with obstacles. U.S. business are not used to foreign governments leveling the playing field for them.  Where is the challenge in that?  There is none to find.

Microsoft and Intel, most likely, signed a treaty only so they could stay within the European market.  If they did not sign, citizens of the EU would not have Intel or Microsoft products.  AMD and Mac (Linux) would be kings in Europe.  But that is just weird because AMD's corporate HQ is practically within the neighborhood of Intel.  They are both HQed in California, USA.  So, these two companies have a dispute on foreign soil and as a result, have brought a foreign government to U.S. soil to attack domestic businesses.  This is just totally nuts

We are supposed to be a sovereign nation.  Businesses are supposed to be able to function producing things that can be sold around the world.  U.S. companies should solve their issues at home instead of taking the battles to foreign soil.  Why should the whole world have to rise up to pass judgement on a U.S. company?

The biggest thing these U.S. companies have done in this case is to be so unguarded as to allow a foreign government to get their little greedy fingers in the control room.  The EC of the EU will not be happy until all US companies are in compliance of their little level playing field where no one is the domminant force, but all sell a little and live within the confines of mediocraty.

Christians Belong in the Public Arena

"For Christians such as Moore -- and others better known, such as columnist Cal Thomas, a former vice president for the Moral Majority -- the heart of Christianity is in the home, not the halls of Congress or even the courts. And the route to a more-moral America is through good works -- service, prayer and education -- not political lobbying" (From Town Hall Columnist Kathleen Parker and her article "Christians at the Gate")

This has been the push of Liberals since the dawn of this country.  The practice of Christianity should remain in the home.  Churches should focus on the social needs and welfare of their communities and stay out of politics.  This kind of thought has been rammed down our throat since the first pastor recruited for the militia at the onset of the Revolutionary War.

To say that Christians should stay out of politics is actually discriminating against tax paying citizens.  All citizens of the this country have the right to speak their minds and to be active in public life as given by the first amendment:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Tell me Christians should stay at home and I'll provide a list of Founders who were devout Christians who thought their duty to family, neighbors and country, as well as the world, was to be aggressively active in all aspects of Government.

Let's start the list with George Washington, John Adams, John Quincy Adams.  Books have been written about the devout Christian lives of our Founders.  To say Christians should stay at home and let the pagans run the country is contrary to the thoughts and practices of people like Ben Franklin, John Hancock, and others, including, but not limited to, Benjamin Rush.

When Christians enter back into politics, we will definitely have a civil war on our hands.  This is because Christians have believed and followed the lies of the left for about 130 years that say things like Christians should stay at home, run their farms, and go on missions to Africa where Jesus is needed.  Stay out of politics.  Churches should preach peace, love, giving to the poor and stuff like that.  Christians should leave the hard stuff to the more educated and able people.

Lies like that are what has caused this country to do the junk it has.  Christians and Christian Wold View have all been forced into hiding and out of the political sphere.

Christians need to re-enter public life.  They need to speak their mind based on a Biblical world view.  They need to re-establish themselves as statesmen once again.  Don't endorse flaky, weak, men and women.  If there is no one to endorse, then take up the flag and run with it yourselves.

Another Big Question

The first week of Obama's Presidency is behind him now.  How many Executive Orders has he signed this week anyway?  And just his first week!  Man, that's really hard stuff.  He's gone from making Bush's private stuff public, to funding abortion around the world.  That's the easy stuff that everyone expected he would do the first week.  We all knew he would pronounce closure to Gitmo also.  That was a no-brainer.  And, amazingly, all his cabinet appointees passed with flying, bipartisan support.  Truly amazing.

My big question now is, after all this work, what's next?  What is his next Executive Order going to be?  Will it be a Health Care Plan?  Will it be the greening up of the White House?  I'm just on pins and needles waiting for the next pronouncement.  Will he side-step Congress and just get things done by Executive Order?  That would sure save time for Congress.  Let the President do the hard stuff with just a swipe of his pen and a YouTube video and leave the more trivial stuff to Congress.  After all, he is ruling the nation now, as President.

Conservative Bloggers and Liberal Politicians

Conservative Bloggers are funny people.  They, me included, tend to get really comfortable behind the keyboard hammering out their opinions from the safety of their office or  home.  They haven't quite figured out how to put their words into action.  Instead of running for office, they sit a complain about others who are running and being elected.  What would it take for Conservative Bloggers to actually jump out into the real world and apply their vast wisdom within their communities.

Somewhere along the road of American history, Liberal Politicians figured this out.  They have always been people of action, not just mere words.  In the South, when a Conservative was on the ticket, the Southern Democrats would strongly influence the vote by any means available.  They have even been documented by newspapers to have place a key gunman in the booth in order to guarantee the outcome of certain elections.  Liberals have always been able to arouse public opinion in their favour.  They don't seem to just be satisfied with writing their opinions.  Liberals act their opinions out in the public arena.  And that is what matters.

How many Conservative Bloggers are out there any way?  How many are anonymous?  That's kinda stupid.  I mean, really, they are out there blogging away and then they sign their name John Doe Conservative.  Big deal, like that is really going to influence someone.  Why hid their identities?  Unless, of course, they don't believe what they are actually writing.  Nah, that can't be it.  They must be chicken.

Well, Liberals aren't chicken.  They are everywhere taking over every critical aspect of our country and all Conservative Bloggers will do about it is write about it, but do nothing physical and public.  How many Conservative Bloggers are there?  How many conservatives are associated with the Heritage Foundation?  My point is simple.  If all the Conservative Bloggers actually made themselves physically and politically active within their own states of residence, they would take this country back with a force the Libs only dream of.

So, I encourage all you Bloggers to activate yourselves.  Your opinions are well respected but I'd like to see you participating in community, county, state and federal politics.

Introduction

The thing I keep thinking about time and time again is "What's next?"  Now we will have a Democrat lead congress and a Democrat lead presidency.  We have moderate Republicans declairing out loud, publically, that Republicans ought to give up some of their conservative ideas so they can win more often.  But win what and then what?  Lead from the Center???

What's next?  I keep asking myself the same question.  If Republicans give up even some of their conservative ideas, they will cease to be Republican and create a new party.  Wait!!  We already have those guys!  They are called Libertarians and Green and Socialists and Democrats!

So all you guys who want Republicans to compromise more and more, why don't you guys just jump over to another party and leave the conservative Republican party to us?  Why should Republicans continue to compromise?  Every time a compromise has been executed, we have given more of our nations freedoms up to the socialist agenda.  But, I'll leave that for another time.

So, what's next for conservatives in the Republican party?  Be yourselves, stand tall, be statesmen and stateswomen, stick to your core values. (If you don't have any core values that are repeatable, then you are not conservative and should switch parties.) And, in additon to talking a writing all the time, come "out of the closet" to run for local county and state offices.  Lead, not by just mere words, but by your actions.  Be leaders in local business, government and get elected to local office and state offices.  Everyone else that cannot run for office should come out in large numbers to support the conservative agenda.  (A little unknown secret?  Conservatives out number liberals by large numbers, so don't be intimidated by propeganda to the contrary).  And for crying out loud, put up some political signs to support your candidate!  If your community has an ordinance against signs, then take them to court!  Get your signs up!  Put your stickers on your cars!

So what's next?  Conservatives need to stop being whimps and let their voices be heard.  Stop being intimidated by homosexuals, late night T.V., the network media bullies, and general name callers and liberals already in office.  Don't be intimidated by broken windows, keyed cars, or stolen signs.  Instead, come out in large numbers.  Also, be reminded that Democrats never sleep after a victory or a loss.  They keep going with their agenda until they see the fruits of their labor.  I'll leave that for another time, also.
