So what about HR 2454 ?

What is HR 2454?  Did anyone hear this bill mentioned this past week?  Did anyone know about it before Friday the 26th of June?  Did you hear about it before your representatives voted for it or against it?  Have you ever heard about Cap and Trade, tax on CO2 emissions, tax on Cow Flatulence and other related and not related stuff?  This bill has various names and was passed without much problem in the House on Friday the 26th of June.  This is the bill that Mr. Waxman said he didn't need to read, the same bill he co-sponsored.  How can a guy sponsor a bill without reading it?

This is bad stuff.  If this bill passes the Senate without being challenged by the people and the Judicial Branch, we will see industry fail in this country, the costs of normal food products sky rocket, and the cost of energy hit astronomical levels, and the cost of transportation will be so high the poor will be walking or riding bikes...if they're lucky.

The next bill over the horizon is going to be health care reform.  What is the bill number on that one?  To tell the truth, at the time of this writing, I do not know.  There are many bills associated with health care.  Figuring out which one is the right one will be a challenge.

The next one after that will be something to do with gun control.  You watch for it!  It is coming.  The Federal Government is out of control and the only way it can be stopped is if the People are informed and put a stop to it all.

One of the best ways we can all be watch dogs is to closely monitor the bills that are going through the House and Senate personally.  When we write and call our representatives we should be able to cite specific bill numbers in reference so the recipients of our letters and phone calls will know that we are somewhat on the ball.  Bills can be monitored directly through http://thomas.loc.gov/

All bills and proceedings of the Legislature Branch are public record and Thomas is the best way to keep track of them.

Oh, and by the way, the true and official title for H.R. 2454 is the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009.  Surprise!  You thought it was the Cap and Trade thingy didn't ya?

The EC of the EU vs MS and Intel

http://government.zdnet.com/?p=4837

So, now the EC of the EU is going after MS for their IE that is packaged withing their OS called XP or W7.  Pretty crazy stuff.  The EC is just having a hay day targeting big corporations within the U.S.  It's nuts.  But, there is this thing called Article 82 of the EC trade treaty among the nations of the EU.  It pretty much says that businesses can't do certain things that are unfair towards their compettitors.  These things are kind of vague.  But, nevertheless, Microsoft must have signed such a treaty or else they would not be able to operate withing the EU.  Intel is also in the news for bad and unfair trade practices within the EU.

My question is this:  If a foreign government requires a U.S. corporation to sign some crazy trade treaty in order to do business in the country, why sign it?  This thing is really big.  Now the EU has a legal invitation to file suit against these business who would be otherwise protected by U.S. law.  Now the EU is going to be in the news weekly as they will be observed applying fines to U.S. companies for stepping on the toes of other businesses that have been educated in Socialist style business practices.

It's all about a level playing field, they say.  Well, here in the U.S.A., business owners have enjoyed the challenge of the playing field filled with obstacles. U.S. business are not used to foreign governments leveling the playing field for them.  Where is the challenge in that?  There is none to find.

Microsoft and Intel, most likely, signed a treaty only so they could stay within the European market.  If they did not sign, citizens of the EU would not have Intel or Microsoft products.  AMD and Mac (Linux) would be kings in Europe.  But that is just weird because AMD's corporate HQ is practically within the neighborhood of Intel.  They are both HQed in California, USA.  So, these two companies have a dispute on foreign soil and as a result, have brought a foreign government to U.S. soil to attack domestic businesses.  This is just totally nuts

We are supposed to be a sovereign nation.  Businesses are supposed to be able to function producing things that can be sold around the world.  U.S. companies should solve their issues at home instead of taking the battles to foreign soil.  Why should the whole world have to rise up to pass judgement on a U.S. company?

The biggest thing these U.S. companies have done in this case is to be so unguarded as to allow a foreign government to get their little greedy fingers in the control room.  The EC of the EU will not be happy until all US companies are in compliance of their little level playing field where no one is the domminant force, but all sell a little and live within the confines of mediocraty.

Christians Belong in the Public Arena

"For Christians such as Moore -- and others better known, such as columnist Cal Thomas, a former vice president for the Moral Majority -- the heart of Christianity is in the home, not the halls of Congress or even the courts. And the route to a more-moral America is through good works -- service, prayer and education -- not political lobbying" (From Town Hall Columnist Kathleen Parker and her article "Christians at the Gate")

This has been the push of Liberals since the dawn of this country.  The practice of Christianity should remain in the home.  Churches should focus on the social needs and welfare of their communities and stay out of politics.  This kind of thought has been rammed down our throat since the first pastor recruited for the militia at the onset of the Revolutionary War.

To say that Christians should stay out of politics is actually discriminating against tax paying citizens.  All citizens of the this country have the right to speak their minds and to be active in public life as given by the first amendment:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Tell me Christians should stay at home and I'll provide a list of Founders who were devout Christians who thought their duty to family, neighbors and country, as well as the world, was to be aggressively active in all aspects of Government.

Let's start the list with George Washington, John Adams, John Quincy Adams.  Books have been written about the devout Christian lives of our Founders.  To say Christians should stay at home and let the pagans run the country is contrary to the thoughts and practices of people like Ben Franklin, John Hancock, and others, including, but not limited to, Benjamin Rush.

When Christians enter back into politics, we will definitely have a civil war on our hands.  This is because Christians have believed and followed the lies of the left for about 130 years that say things like Christians should stay at home, run their farms, and go on missions to Africa where Jesus is needed.  Stay out of politics.  Churches should preach peace, love, giving to the poor and stuff like that.  Christians should leave the hard stuff to the more educated and able people.

Lies like that are what has caused this country to do the junk it has.  Christians and Christian Wold View have all been forced into hiding and out of the political sphere.

Christians need to re-enter public life.  They need to speak their mind based on a Biblical world view.  They need to re-establish themselves as statesmen once again.  Don't endorse flaky, weak, men and women.  If there is no one to endorse, then take up the flag and run with it yourselves.

Neuton Said it Right

"For every action action there is a constant and equal reaction."  So, what are conservatives doing to combat this radical action from the liberals?  I know we are all blogging and talking among ourselves.  We are writing our elected officials (who continue to ignore us by the way).

For decades and even centuries, the liberals have infiltrated our education system from elementary through graduate school.  They have infiltrated our law schools and court systems.  They have infiltrated our science and even our churches.  They took control of the media and Hollywood since almost day 1.  What are the conservatives doing?

We are, for the most part, passive.  We will not react with the minimum of equal force.  We will not defend our ground for fear of hurting someones feelings.  We passively allow them a place in the media because, after all, we believe in freedom of speech so we let them dominate the printed and spoken word.  We passively allow our elected officials to do what ever they want to, because, after all, they are the professionals and they went to school just for this purpose of service to the country.

We would not allow Communism in the 50's, but we have allow incremental socialism to creep up on us since the dawn of time.  Now we are dealing with Communist who are in highest office in this country.

Now, the "constant and equal reaction" will be considered by most as excessive and unusual force.  Many people will get hurt, therefore, many conservatives will not be willing to react as they should.  They would rather moan and groan under the domination of the Communists than to engage in the battle for freedom.

Yes, many will consider the conservative reaction to be excessive force, but this must be done.  The liberals have slammed this country.  But this country must get back up and engage with equal or greater force.  The paper tiger must materialize into the real thing and engage.

What's going on in the House Today

Check this out people! The following is on public record and is what the House of Reps is up to under the influence of Nancy Pelosi.   I think this is a slap in the face of all Christian black men and women who hold Dr. King in high esteem.  What a load of caca!  Why give credit to Ghandi for the motivation of Dr. King that could have only come from the love of his God and the love of his people?  Ghandi my foot!!

HRES 134 IH

111th CONGRESS

1st Session

H. RES. 134

Recognizing the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s visit to India, and the positive influence that the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi had on Dr. King's work during the Civil Rights Movement.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

February 4, 2009

Mr. LEWIS of Georgia (for himself, Mr. CONYERS, Mr. MCDERMOTT, Mr. SCOTT of Virginia, Mr. SCHIFF, and Mr. JOHNSON of Georgia) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

RESOLUTION

Recognizing the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s visit to India, and the positive influence that the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi had on Dr. King's work during the Civil Rights Movement.

Whereas Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. changed America forever in a few short years through his teaching of nonviolence and passive resistance to combat segregation, discrimination, and racial injustice;

Whereas, in 1950, during the pursuit of a Bachelor of Divinity degree at Crozer Theological Seminary in Upland, Pennsylvania, Dr. King first became aware of the success of nonviolent political action employed by India's Mahatma Gandhi in political campaigns against racial inequality in South Africa, and later against British colonial rule in India;

Whereas Dr. King began an extensive study of Gandhi's life and ideas, and became inspired to use Gandhi's theory of nonviolent civil disobedience to achieve social change in America;

Whereas, in 1955 and 1956, Dr. King led the Montgomery Bus Boycott to protest the arrest of Rosa Parks and the segregation of the bus system of Montgomery, Alabama, during which time Dr. King was arrested and his home bombed;

Whereas the Montgomery Bus Boycott was the first large-scale, nonviolent civil rights demonstration of contemporary times in the United States;

Whereas, following the success of nonviolent protest in the Montgomery Bus Boycott, Dr. King desired to travel to India to deepen his knowledge of Gandhi's teachings on nonviolent principles;

Whereas Dr. King, his wife Coretta Scott King, and Lawrence Reddick, then chairman of the history department at Alabama State College, arrived in Bombay, India, on February 10, 1959 and stayed until March 10, 1959;

Whereas Dr. King was warmly welcomed by members of Indian society throughout his visit, and met with Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, land reform leader Vinoba Bhave, and other influential Indian leaders to discuss issues of poverty, economic policy, and race relations;

Whereas, while in India, Dr. King spoke about race and equality at crowded universities and at public meetings;

Whereas followers of Ghandi's philosophy, known as satyagrahis, welcomed Dr. King and praised him for his nonviolent efforts during the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which they saw as a landmark success of principles of nonviolence outside of India;

Whereas the satyagrahis and Dr. King discussed Ghandi's philosophy, known as Satyagraha, which promotes nonviolence and civil disobedience as the most useful methods for obtaining political and social goals;

Whereas the satyagrahis reaffirmed and deepened Dr. King's commitment to nonviolence, and revealed to him the power that nonviolent resistance holds in political and social battles;

Whereas the trip to India impacted Dr. King in a profound way, and inspired him to use nonviolence as an instrument of social change to end segregation and racial discrimination in America throughout the rest of his work during the Civil Rights Movement;

Whereas Dr. King rose to be the preeminent civil rights advocate of his time, leading the Civil Rights Movement in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s and earning world-wide recognition as an eloquent and articulate spokesperson for equality;

Whereas Dr. King became a champion of nonviolence, and in 1964, at the age of 35, he became the youngest man to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his efforts;

Whereas through his leadership in nonviolent protest, Dr. King was instrumental in the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965;

Whereas, between 1957 and 1968, Dr. King traveled more than 6,000,000 miles, spoke more than 2,500 times, and wrote five books and numerous articles supporting efforts around the country to end injustice and bring about social change and desegregation through civil disobedience; and

Whereas the work of Dr. King created a basis of understanding and respect, and helped communities and the United States as a whole to act peacefully, cooperatively, and courageously to restore tolerance, justice, and equality between people: Now, therefore, be it

    Resolved, That the House of Representatives encourages all Americans to--

      (1) pause and remember the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s visit to India;

      (2) commemorate Dr. King's legacy of nonviolence, a principle that--

        (A) Dr. King encountered during his study of India's Mahatma Gandhi;

        (B) further inspired him during his first trip to India; and

        (C) he successfully used in the struggle for civil rights and voting rights;

      (3) commemorate the impact that Dr. King's trip to India and his study of the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi had in shaping the Civil Rights Movement and creating the political climate necessary to pass legislation to expand civil rights and voting rights for all Americans; and

      (4) rededicate themselves to Dr. King's belief that `nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral question of our time' and to his goal of a free and just United States.

Letter to Democrats

I realize that the economy has some serious problems.  This Bill (Senate Bill 350 and those related to it in the Senate and the House) is not a recovery plan but a Control the American People From a Throne Room in Washington plan.  I implore you, on behalf of all literate and thinking U.S. citizens, to cause a halt to the approval of this Bill.  Tell the President that he is sadly mistaken.  The President should not at any moment think the the majority of hard working U.S. citizen even remotely approve of this plan.

I am angry the Democrats in both Houses of Congress pushed the Economic Stimulus plan through without reading the details.

I  am angry that the plan calls for money to be allocated to Neighborhood Electric Vehicles.  What happened to bicycles and walking?

I am angry that the plan opens the door wide for a national health plan and puts our nations senior citizens at risk.

I am angry that the Bill  opens the door for more Government subsidized birth control and abortions.  Most American people are angry that the minority would concider killing innocent babies while still in the tranquility and safety of the womb.  There are many people who would be glad to adopt these little ones as well as pay all the biological mother’s medical bills in order to insure a safe and healthy delivery.

I am angry that there is a provision for Broadband Internet tax credits.  Internet is a reward for going to work every day and being able to afford the luxery of computers, telephones and associated services.

I am angry that Congress is even concidering playing with COBRA.  COBRA is a privately funded insurance option.  It has never been a right but a privilege of those who have jobs and can afford to pay for it.    It is not a bennifit and never has been.  The government should stay out of the private sector insurance industry.

I am against the creation of a Health Tech office.  Government should stay out of the private  health care industry.  Presidential Cabinet members are only in office as long as the President holds his office.  They are not carreer experts.  So why form a new government office when the real experts exist in the private sector?  The Federal Government cannot do a better job than private healthcare professionals.

I don’t like the adjustments to Medicaid as provided in this bill.

The bottom line is, this Bill provides for more Government intervention into the private sector than has ever been allowed in the history of this country.  It is Socialist bordering on Communism and I am angered by it.  The Democrats will cause such catastrophic damage to the economy that has never been inflicted on this country before.  Might I remind you that elected officials are not professionals in their field?  They are elected officials who have a lot of money through private donations.  These donations allow them to pay for air time which substantially aids in their election efforts.  They are not professionals except for their uncanny ability to get elected.

If they Federal Government were to downsize, stay out of the public sector as much as is possible, I believe the country’s economic situation would rebound beyond any efforts put forth in the Bill in question.

I want the Democrats to urge the President to table this Bill in all its forms.  I am angry.  I am not alone.  Many of my friends, customers, and fellow Citizens are angry.

Sincerely

(Me)

Another Big Question

The first week of Obama's Presidency is behind him now.  How many Executive Orders has he signed this week anyway?  And just his first week!  Man, that's really hard stuff.  He's gone from making Bush's private stuff public, to funding abortion around the world.  That's the easy stuff that everyone expected he would do the first week.  We all knew he would pronounce closure to Gitmo also.  That was a no-brainer.  And, amazingly, all his cabinet appointees passed with flying, bipartisan support.  Truly amazing.

My big question now is, after all this work, what's next?  What is his next Executive Order going to be?  Will it be a Health Care Plan?  Will it be the greening up of the White House?  I'm just on pins and needles waiting for the next pronouncement.  Will he side-step Congress and just get things done by Executive Order?  That would sure save time for Congress.  Let the President do the hard stuff with just a swipe of his pen and a YouTube video and leave the more trivial stuff to Congress.  After all, he is ruling the nation now, as President.

Obama vs. Biden

When the President was sworn in yesterday, he totally screwed up the words.  Who's fault was it?  How many words are there supposed in the swearing in script.  Obviously, Justice Roberts was trying to make it simple, but Obama just couldn't get it.  Now, Biden got his perfect.  His script was longer and more complicated with bigger words.  Biden repeated the script perfectly.

So, who is more ready to serve, Biden or Obama?  You know, President Bush repeated his script perfectly and everyone still thought he was a dunce.  Who's the dunce now?  I wonder!

Conservative Bloggers and Liberal Politicians

Conservative Bloggers are funny people.  They, me included, tend to get really comfortable behind the keyboard hammering out their opinions from the safety of their office or  home.  They haven't quite figured out how to put their words into action.  Instead of running for office, they sit a complain about others who are running and being elected.  What would it take for Conservative Bloggers to actually jump out into the real world and apply their vast wisdom within their communities.

Somewhere along the road of American history, Liberal Politicians figured this out.  They have always been people of action, not just mere words.  In the South, when a Conservative was on the ticket, the Southern Democrats would strongly influence the vote by any means available.  They have even been documented by newspapers to have place a key gunman in the booth in order to guarantee the outcome of certain elections.  Liberals have always been able to arouse public opinion in their favour.  They don't seem to just be satisfied with writing their opinions.  Liberals act their opinions out in the public arena.  And that is what matters.

How many Conservative Bloggers are out there any way?  How many are anonymous?  That's kinda stupid.  I mean, really, they are out there blogging away and then they sign their name John Doe Conservative.  Big deal, like that is really going to influence someone.  Why hid their identities?  Unless, of course, they don't believe what they are actually writing.  Nah, that can't be it.  They must be chicken.

Well, Liberals aren't chicken.  They are everywhere taking over every critical aspect of our country and all Conservative Bloggers will do about it is write about it, but do nothing physical and public.  How many Conservative Bloggers are there?  How many conservatives are associated with the Heritage Foundation?  My point is simple.  If all the Conservative Bloggers actually made themselves physically and politically active within their own states of residence, they would take this country back with a force the Libs only dream of.

So, I encourage all you Bloggers to activate yourselves.  Your opinions are well respected but I'd like to see you participating in community, county, state and federal politics.

A Sad Day

It is a sad day when Americans who, remembering the past liberty provided through the sweat and blood of our forefathers, cower at the future and allow the once hated Communists to take our country back to the dark ages of tyranny. What ever happened to the phrase "power to the people"? Is it just an empty metaphor or does it really mean something? Does it mean we still have the power of the pen or does it mean something else?

Liberals did not take this country in the last 8 years. Republicans have been giving it to them one compromise at a time since 1776. In the beginning, the libs would cry and appeal to our sensitive, compassionate side and we would grant them a little freedom. And then, because we are compassionate, we would have a little mercy until they amassed enough power to put a choke hold on our educational institutions and our law schools, and even our Ivy League Seminaries. We just gave it to them gradually over the last 230 years. The only thing we think we have left is our voice that declares injustice. We think we have our pens that write "Unfair practice!"

Do the people really have the power? How many of us actually know our next door neighbors? How many of us are active in the community. Would people vote for you because they know you a believe you would be a good person for the position?? And what is all the anonymous blogging stuff? Would you be ashamed if your writing was actually associated with your good name??

No, the liberals have been handed this country almost without a fight. We give it to them willingly.

People of Influence are Cowards

During the days of the Revolutionary War, patriotic men who had influence and money sacrificed everything to lead the Colonies in a revolutionary revolt against England.  This lead to victory and untimately to the signing of our Declaration of Independance from England.  Because of these influencial men, our nation was started.

As time progressed, many of these men went on to start schools and mentor younger men to be influencial people in government.  What I get tired of, day in and day out, is all these conservative talking heads who claim to have power, money and influence, but do very little except talk and write.  These people get on their television shows, their radio broadcasts and talk about the issues but actually do very little to lead the revolution.  They write books and become millionaires but do very little to actually lead our people in revolt against the ever approaching socialist goverment we face today.

I'm a simple person with very little influence, money, or power.  I do  not have a radio show, a book contract, and I never appear on television.  I have not been signed to a new four-hundred-million dollar radio deal.  I'm just a little guy who is angry with the rich talking heads out there who really do very little to promote true conservative living other than just talk about it.

Patriots of the Revolution used their money and influence to lead a revolution that began a country that is now almost 233 years old.  But these patriots died and left the leadership of this country to their kids, grand kids and great grand children.  It is those offspring that slowly, but surely gave into the constant bantering of the liberal humanists.  Eventually humanist gained a foot hold in some of the most prestigious ivy league schools in the nation.  These schools were originally started to promote Christianity, but ended up compromising to the humanist agenda.  By 1962 they finally got a good hold on the supreme court.  As a result, prayer and God have been removed from our schools leading to many cultural and social evils that we may not have to deal with today if Christainity was still allowed to be practiced freely in the public arena.

Since 1962, Christian parents have pulled their kids out of the public school system as a reactionary measure to protect their kids.  In the late '70's, the home school trend began to take root.  Now, it is very common for Christain families to either be in private schools or to be home schooled.  As a result of the Supreme Court removing prayer and God from the schools in 1962 and parents removing their kids from the schools, the humanists have really become the sole owners of our education system here in the United States of America.

How did the 1962 Supreme court get to a point of being so humanist as to take prayer and God out of the schools?  Go back to Christopher Langdell, the Dean of Harvord Law School in 1870.  He introduced a new method to his students called the "Case Method".   Up until then, the courts decided the outcome of cases based on the moral law passed down by the legislature.  Case Law opened up a new era.  Before 1870, trials were judged by written law.  Langdell's revolution lead to the outcome of trials being decided, not only by written law but by simialr trial vericts.  So, now we have written law and Case Law.  Our founders never intended this method to be used.

So, not only do the humanist have control over the education system, but they have control over the Judicial Branch of our government.  Start in the schools and colleges, then move to the Judicial Branch of government if you ever want to take over a country.

Thoughout the 20th century, Christian parents have pulled their influence out of the schools.  They have also encouraged their kids to stay out of politics.  So, we give the humanists our schools, our colleges, and now we give them our government.  You can bet your grandma's rocking chair that humanist parents send their kids to college so they can be in education, in law, in places of influence and government.

People ask, "How did they gain so much ground all of a sudden?"  Anti-Christian activists have been around since this country first started.  Not everyone on the Mayflower was a Christian.  But Christians were the majority of people leaving the Old World for a new start.  All of the Founding Fathers were at the very least God fearing.  All of the constitutions of the 13 colonies and later the 13 states were formed by God fearing men.  The public school system of this country was work of devout Christian men.  Actually, in the early days, teachers had to be Christians or at least God fearing, before they would be considered a position.  (The National Education Association was started by Christians.)  Daniel Webster was a devout Christian.  The ivy league colleges had serious seminaries attached to them.  For the longest time, only Christian men would be considered for office on the state level.  Oh, we can't forget the pastors during that time either.  They could and would often, preach on political topics with out the fear of the Government coming to shut them down.  Many of these sermons were published and distributed and were actually in high demand.

While Christians sleep humanists are working, scheming and gaining ground.  The humanist agenda has never changed.  It has always been to gain control over this Christian nation.  Through many connected events, they have gained influence, power, and control over this nation.  We cry over the drug problem in this country.  Prior to 1963, illegal drug use was at extremely low levels.  The same with sexual transmitted disseases, premarital cohabitation, divorce, and violent crimes.  Take God out of the schools and all these sky rocket.  Take God out of the public school system and it becomes a training ground for future socialist, evolutionists, and atheists.  The school system became the training ground for the humanist influential people who now run this country.

What can we do to stop this?  Well, we should have asked that question years ago.  What would happen if all of our Conservative and Christian thinkers ran for public office?  Yes they would have to stop broadcasting for a while (maybe) and bloggin (maybe), but they would be putting their Conservative ideas to the pratical test.  Humanists did not just stand up and give speaches.  They jumped into our education system with both feet.   They put their ideas to work on our kids.

What are the leading Conservatives in this country doing?  They cowarding behind the pen, the microphone and within the safe walls of think-tanks telling others what to do.  If these leaders really are leaders, they will run for office like our Founding Fathers did.  They will join the PTA, the School Board, the City Council, run for Congress.  I wish they would just shut-up and lead so the liberals will not gain more ground.  They claim to be people of influence.  Well, if they are real people of influence, then they will have no problem winning elections.  If they will not run, well then they are cowards.  Conservatives are at war with the liberals.  There is no middle ground.

Guns and Other Precious Things

I listen to the radio most of the day while I am working.  Today, I heard that some city in California is doing another gun drive.  That's right folks.  You can take your gun in and get a $100 department store gift card exchange.  They will ask no questions.

First of all, there is not a gun in the world that has a market price of  $100.  Most guns, even used guns, are worth at least $250.  Another thing that bothers me is the fact that California has a "no questions asked" policy.  Do you realize what this means?  It means that you people out there who own guns in California are viewed as criminals.  Why else would they have such a policy?  Like, I'm really going to take my favorite pistol worth over $500 and let the authorities give me a $100 gift card, assume I am a criminal, and then melt it down.  Not!

I have a right to own a gun.  Next thing they are going to want me to turn in is my classic chevy pick-up.  Yes, I can see it now.  They will give classic truck owners a gift card worth $100 to their favorite department store in exchange for the gas hogging, environmentally hazardous, evil trucks.

How stupid are people any way.  Don't give California your guns.  Keep them or sell them on the open market.  There is no gun worth less than $250 especially if you have a quality gun.  The last 2 used guns that I purchased were each worth that.  One was a .22 cal. Ruger pistol and the other was a Remington 12 guage pump shot-gun.

I've been in business for the last 10 years so I really haven't had to get a job since before 1999.  But, I do have people calling me for work on a regular basis.  As a business owner, let me give some practical advise on getting the right job.

First, do a brain storm list of all your transferable job skills, college education, and community leadership experience.  Transferable jobs skills are things like driving tractors to repairing computers.  Also include being a back yard mechanic or even basic web design and Microsoft Office experience.  Include everything you can think of.

Second, throw all your newspapers away.  Pick-up your local phone book and search businesses you would like to work for.  Give these business a call to determine where you can send a resume.  Also, do your own background check on these businesses to discover what they are looking for in an employee.

Next, write your resume geared to the businesses you would like to work for.  Never lie on a resume.  If you lie, you will be discovered immediately by experienced HR people.

Just remember one thing.  The best local jobs are found in the phone book.  If you can't find a job there, then go state wide, and then national, and then global.  If you still can't find a job, start your own business.  Most everything is marketable, you just have to find the market for your product.  If you still can't find a job then keep trying.

In today's global economy, there is no reason for an indiviual to be without a means of earning an honest living.  Government does not create jobs.  It is the people who start businesses, create opportunity, and hire employees.

So, I hope this is not so simple as to be deemed foolishness.  Do what it takes.  Even cleaning toilets for a living is a start and can actually add some dignity to an individual.  I have cleaned toilets, mowed lawns, shoveled snow, and roofed houses as well as build airplanes.  I have even been a telephone solicitor.  Now, I own my business.  It is a small business, but it is mine.  Now I am in the position of creating jobs instead of searching for one.

Free Market Auto Industry

I've been wondering about the car and truck industry lately.  What ever  happened to Studebaker, Tucker, White, Mack, Oldsmobile and others.  I know some of those vehicles are still around but the companies that made them are out of business or have been bought out by bigger and more stable companies.

I know the Big 3 are just as American as Baseball and Apple Pie, but what if Congress were to take a few steps back and just watch and wait for the free market society to do it's thing.  I think we need to keep ancient American institutions around as long as possible, but not at the cost of loosing our free market to a socialist style of economics.

So, the Big Three get 25 billion today.  What about tomorrow??  I know it is just a loan, but really, GM can spend 25 billion as fast as I can spend 1 thousand.  So, again I ask, what about tomorrow?  The Big Three need to take business seriously if they are to stay viable.  Otherwise they will end up like some of the old car companies - a figment of U.S. classic car history.

Introduction

The thing I keep thinking about time and time again is "What's next?"  Now we will have a Democrat lead congress and a Democrat lead presidency.  We have moderate Republicans declairing out loud, publically, that Republicans ought to give up some of their conservative ideas so they can win more often.  But win what and then what?  Lead from the Center???

What's next?  I keep asking myself the same question.  If Republicans give up even some of their conservative ideas, they will cease to be Republican and create a new party.  Wait!!  We already have those guys!  They are called Libertarians and Green and Socialists and Democrats!

So all you guys who want Republicans to compromise more and more, why don't you guys just jump over to another party and leave the conservative Republican party to us?  Why should Republicans continue to compromise?  Every time a compromise has been executed, we have given more of our nations freedoms up to the socialist agenda.  But, I'll leave that for another time.

So, what's next for conservatives in the Republican party?  Be yourselves, stand tall, be statesmen and stateswomen, stick to your core values. (If you don't have any core values that are repeatable, then you are not conservative and should switch parties.) And, in additon to talking a writing all the time, come "out of the closet" to run for local county and state offices.  Lead, not by just mere words, but by your actions.  Be leaders in local business, government and get elected to local office and state offices.  Everyone else that cannot run for office should come out in large numbers to support the conservative agenda.  (A little unknown secret?  Conservatives out number liberals by large numbers, so don't be intimidated by propeganda to the contrary).  And for crying out loud, put up some political signs to support your candidate!  If your community has an ordinance against signs, then take them to court!  Get your signs up!  Put your stickers on your cars!

So what's next?  Conservatives need to stop being whimps and let their voices be heard.  Stop being intimidated by homosexuals, late night T.V., the network media bullies, and general name callers and liberals already in office.  Don't be intimidated by broken windows, keyed cars, or stolen signs.  Instead, come out in large numbers.  Also, be reminded that Democrats never sleep after a victory or a loss.  They keep going with their agenda until they see the fruits of their labor.  I'll leave that for another time, also.
